Combine images into a PDF that is ready to share

Put pictures in the right order, choose a page size and avoid common readability mistakes when making an image-based PDF.

Prepare the images before combining them

A PDF can make a group of receipts, reference images or photographed pages easier to send as one attachment. It does not improve the source images. Before opening Images to PDF, remove duplicates and check that every page is upright, legible and complete. Keep a copy of your originals.

The tool accepts JPG, PNG and WebP. It currently allows up to 20 images, 20 MB per image and 50 MB in total, with pixel limits shown in the workspace. A photo that is small on disk can still require substantial browser memory when decoded.

Set the reading order deliberately

Select your files, then read the displayed list from top to bottom. Do not assume the file picker has kept the order you intended. Use the up and down controls to move items, and remove accidental selections before creating the PDF. Each selected image becomes a page.

For a receipt pack, a useful sequence might be the cover image followed by receipts in date order. For photographed notes, compare the list against the original page numbers. The final reader should not have to infer a sequence from unrelated file names.

Choose A4, Letter or an image-sized page

Choose A4 or Letter when the recipient expects a familiar paper size. The tool chooses portrait or landscape automatically from each image and fits it inside a fixed 24-point margin. There are no separate manual orientation or margin controls in this version.

Fit to image uses the image proportions without an outer margin, at 0.75 PDF points per source pixel. This can create different-sized pages within one document. Use it when preserving the image-shaped page matters more than having uniform paper dimensions, and inspect print scaling before printing.

Understand what the PDF will contain

Images are re-encoded as JPG at a fixed quality setting of 92%, with transparent areas placed on white. This is not lossless packaging, and original image metadata is not retained. There is no adjustable quality control here. If the result is too large, prepare smaller image copies first and check that small text remains readable.

The result contains pictures of pages, not OCR text. It does not turn a photographed invoice into searchable or editable words. Password protection, encryption and secure redaction are not provided by this tool.

Review the download before sending it

Open the PDF in a viewer and check every page, not just the first thumbnail. Confirm page count, order, readable details and file size against the receiving service. If you already have PDFs rather than pictures, use Merge PDF with supported, unencrypted documents instead of taking screenshots of their pages.

  • Check that no page is missing, duplicated or upside down.
  • Keep private information out of the pages you intend to share.
  • Save the reviewed PDF under a clear name and retain the originals.
