A closer look
Create a JPG copy when a website, form or older application does not accept PNG or WebP. Choose one supported image and set the output quality from 10% to 100%; the default is 90%. The tool keeps its pixel dimensions and places transparent areas on a white background. It decodes and re-encodes the image in your browser, so the result is not an identical archival copy. Compare fine text and edges, and keep the original if transparency or future editing matters.
A practical example
If a form accepts only JPG, select your PNG image and start with quality 90%. Run the tool, check the white background and small text, then download the .jpg copy for the form.
Common questions
Will a transparent PNG keep its transparent background in JPG?
No. JPG does not support transparent pixels, so this converter composites them onto white. There is no background-color picker in this tool. If you need transparency for a logo or graphic, keep PNG or choose a compatible WebP workflow instead.
Is changing the file extension enough, and is 100% quality lossless?
Renaming .png or .webp to .jpg does not convert the image. This tool creates an actual JPG through browser encoding. A 100% quality setting does not guarantee a lossless or byte-identical copy, and original metadata and animation are not retained.
How to use this tool
