ASDFTOOLS

A useful toolkit. A thoughtful next chapter.

What is available now, what we are exploring with AI, and the safeguards that must come before a new feature.

Available now: focused, local browser tools

The live catalogue contains working utilities with their own inputs, settings and outputs. English, Korean and Japanese pages explain how to use them and where their limits are. The catalogue, rather than a fixed marketing count, is the source for currently available tools.

  • Image adjustments, resizing, compression and supported image-format conversions.
  • PDF tasks and file or data transformations supported by the individual tool pages.
  • Text cleanup, developer utilities and color tools, with processing in your browser.

Next: make the everyday tasks better

The first priority is the quality of the tools people can already use: clearer controls, better format guidance, useful error messages and more dependable handling of real-world files.

We will use task feedback to prioritize additions and improve the three language editions. A format or workflow appears in the live catalogue only when there is a usable implementation, not merely a planned landing page.

Exploring: optional Claude-powered guidance

This is planned work, not a feature available today. We are exploring how Claude could help people choose a tool, understand quality and format trade-offs, and turn a plain-language goal into a clear sequence of available actions.

For example, someone could describe preparing product photos for a website and receive a suggested resize-and-compress workflow. This direction is about understandable task guidance, not presenting an unrelated general-purpose chatbot as a finished integration.

Before AI goes live

The browser-only tools will remain clearly distinguishable from any feature that sends data to an external provider. AI-assisted development of this site is not the same thing as a live AI product feature.

  • Explain the provider, data sent, purpose and retention before an explicit opt-in.
  • Start with the minimum task context needed; do not silently attach local files.
  • Set request limits and cost controls, and explain any user-facing charges before use.
  • Keep suggestions reviewable and require user confirmation before consequential actions.
  • Evaluate the feature with human review, clear failure states and updated privacy documentation before public release.

Plans are not promises of approval or dates

Priorities may change as we learn from actual use. We do not attach a release date to an idea before its scope and safeguards are ready, and a roadmap item is not a commitment that every format or workflow will be supported.

asdftools is independent. Mentioning Claude describes a possible future integration, not an endorsement, partnership, or acceptance into an Anthropic program. If you would like a particular task supported, tell us what you need through the contact page.
