Write for the actual page
Choose a title and description that explain the page’s actual task. A snippet preview is illustrative; search engines can choose different wording or truncation. Avoid adding keywords that imply unsupported features, and use a public image URL for social tags.
Connect discoverable language versions
Use final canonical URLs in a sitemap and matching reciprocal hreflang sets on real translated pages. robots.txt controls crawling, not private access or guaranteed deindexing. Generated files must still be reviewed and installed on the correct website.
Distinguish source diagnostics from search results
Pasted HTML checks can find missing tags, links or heading structure, but they do not fetch HTTP headers or inspect Google’s chosen canonical. Verify the deployed page and use your own Search Console data for indexing, clicks and impressions. A technical pass is not a ranking guarantee.
