Choose what the code should contain
A URL code stores the destination directly. Wi-Fi and vCard codes use structured payloads that compatible apps can interpret. Static codes cannot change their stored destination after printing, so confirm spelling before distributing them.
Test readability and privacy
Keep the code’s margins intact and test the real printed size. The image reader shows decoded text without opening links. Wi-Fi passwords and contact details are not encrypted secrets inside a QR; anyone with the code can read them.
Use authorized product identifiers
A barcode generator draws the chosen standard, while a check-digit tool performs arithmetic. Neither assigns a retail product number or proves ownership. Use test data while designing and confirm the identifier and scan behavior before real product use.
